Traveling with my mom is one of the most meaningful things I do. It’s also some of the most complicated travel I plan, because the pace, the expectations, the energy level, and the kinds of memories you’re trying to create are different from a girls trip or a solo trip. And still, I’m always coming up with new mother daughter trip ideas.
These mother-daughter travel guides come from years of actually doing it: safari in Tanzania, sailing the Croatian Islands, multiple Italy trips together, and the broader multi-generational travel framework I’ve built across many trips. You’ll find destination-specific guides (the safari is one of the most personal pieces I’ve written), planning frameworks for multi-generational travel, and reflections on what these trips have taught me.

Best for: women planning a trip with their mom (especially aging parents), adult daughters thinking about a meaningful trip together, and anyone navigating the logistical and emotional sides of multi-gen travel.
